Meet the Local Growers Appointed to Farm Credit of Florida Leadership
Farm Credit of Florida, a member-owned cooperative lender and crop insurance provider, announces the appointment of two local attorneys and growers, Francisco Pines and Amanda Taylor, to the Board of Directors.
Amanda E. Taylor is a fifth-generation rancher and third-generation citrus grower in Florida and a member of Taylor Farms, LLC, a commercial cow/calf operation. In addition to serving the agriculture industry, Taylor is co-founder and partner of Houston Taylor Law and specializes in land use, zoning, real estate development, agricultural and environmental law. Taylor serves on the Board of the Florida State Fair Authority, is a Director of the Wedgworth Leadership Institute Alumni Association, and a graduate of the Wedgworth Leadership Institute.
Francisco J. Pines holds various leadership roles in his family-owned entities involved in agriculture and commercial real estate. Pines is the founder and managing partner of Law Office Francisco J. Pines, PA, and specializes in the protection of constitutional property rights and the representation of property owners, ranchers, growers, and business owners in eminent domain proceedings. In addition to his property defense practice, he acts as preferred title agent to national developers in connection with real estate transactions and land use and development counsel for large-scale master planned communities. Pines served two terms on the Florida Citrus Commission and is a graduate of the Wedgworth Leadership Institute Class V.
“I am very excited to welcome Amanda Taylor and Francisco Pines to the Farm Credit of Florida board of directors,” Farm Credit of Florida Chairman Eric Hopkins stated. “It is very rare that you have an opportunity to add such high caliber candidates with expertise in agriculture, business, real estate and law.”
Farm Credit of Florida directors are elected and appointed from our agricultural community because no one is better suited to put local farmers first when establishing policies, providing strategic direction, and overseeing all major Farm Credit of Florida functions.
