Portfolio Manager

West Palm Beach, Florida


Farm Credit of Florida is looking for a Portfolio Manager for the West Palm Beach Office.  The selected candidate will be responsible for the administrative management of the specific assigned lending relationships and acts as a resource to the Relationship Managers in managing their portfolio.

The Portfolio Manager provides member/borrowers with sound, constructive lending and financial service products and credit solutions in accordance with Association policy, standards, strategy and procedures. Follows sound loan servicing, portfolio management, and business development principles and strategies.  

Responsibilities include:

  • Develops and carries out loan servicing plans in accordance with ACA policy and guidance to ensure loans receive the appropriate level of timely attention based upon the loan amount and risk rating. Proactively upgrades and downgrades loans as deemed necessary. 
  • Assesses risk factors and implements controls to mitigate risk.
  • Performs underwriting analysis of new or existing credits preparing necessary documentation to be presented to loan committee.  
  • Monitors the customer’s financial situation, loan performance and repayment ability.  
  • Maintains active and follow up communication with the borrower requesting financial information, production records and other information timely. 
  • Ensures loan files are adequately documented with all the pertinent facts, documents, and financial statements. 
  • Takes corrective action corresponding on delinquent accounts.

  • Professional appearance, strong communication skills and work ethic
  • Ability to use discretionary judgment in making sound decisions and solving problems

Minimum Qualifications

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance or Agriculture; or equivalent work experience. 

Experience:  Minimum of (8) eight years of experience as a commercial loan officer or credit analyst in a financial institution.  Agriculture-related credit work experience is a plus.
